Meg McKinlay is a children’s writer and poet living in Fremantle, Western Australia.
She has published twenty books for young people as well as a collection of poetry for adults, with her children’s writing ranging from picture books through to young adult fiction.
Her work has won a number of awards, including the Prime Minister’s Literary Award, CBCA Picture Book of the Year, and the Queensland and WA Premier’s Literary Awards.
Meg was formerly an academic at the University of Western Australia, but these days, she writes full-time, juggling poetry, prose, and the many voices in her head as best she can.
