Leanne Hall

Leanne Hall is an award-winning Australian author for young adults and children. Her debut novel, ‘This Is Shyness’, was the winner of the Text Prize for Children's and Young Adult Writing, and was followed by a sequel ‘Queen of the Night’.

Her novel for younger readers, ‘Iris and the Tiger’, won The Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children's Literature at the NSW Premier's Literary Awards.

Her most recent YA novel, ‘The Gaps’, won the Prime Minister’s Literary Award, the Adelaide Festival Award and the Ethel Turner Prize at the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards.

Leanne is currently a PhD student at RMIT Melbourne, and lives on the unceded and sovereign lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nations.
